The shale shaker is the first grade of solids control equipment in drilling purification system. It can remove cuttings above 75μm brought from the drilling well and the liquid with smaller particles will flow into tanks from where the fluid will flow into next grade solids control equipment to be treated.
Shale shakers are components of drilling equipment used in many industries, such as coal cleaning, mining, oil and gas drilling. They are considered to be the first phase of a solids control system on a drilling rig, they are used to remove large solids also called cuttings from the drilling fluid, more commonly called "Mud" due to its similar appearance.
KOSUN’s shale shaker
In the process, the shale shaker need regular maintenance for fear possible breakdown. But how to maintain the shale shaker? The following tips may be helpful to you:
1. Remove the dust on shell for cooling the motor basing on the clean condition of surface.
2. Inspect the fix parts of motor base and nuts of end cover if loosen. If happened, stop the machine and tight it. One time for one month.
3. Add the LGHP2 lubrication once with filling gun. The filling is no more than 26g for each shaft. One time for 2000 hours.
4. Observe the temperature raising of motor (the temperature raising means the running temperature subtract ambient temperature ) one time for half a month, if the temperature raising is abnormal, If the running temperature of bearing of motor shell exceeds 100℃, consult the KOSUN in time.
5. Check the cable scored or damaged. Change it if damaged in time. One time for three months
6. Ensure the grounding resistance of motor shell is no more than 0 ohms. One time for three months
Notices:
1. Turn off the power to avoid the motor if the motor fails to work.
2. Observe the motor if normal. Turn off the motor to shoot the trouble and switch on to start.
3. The guarantee will be failed if maintain the vibration motor or change the bearing by your self.
