In the processing of drilling fluid purification, as a key soldis control equipment, oilfield decanter centrifuge requires a centrifugal force for the separation of the solids from the liquid. This characteristic is dependent on the radius of the centrifuge and its angular rotational speed. G-force is related to the gravitational acceleration and centrifugal acceleration inside the bowl. A decanter centrifuge applies a gravitational force of several thousand G, which reduces the settling time of the particles. It is also favoured to maintain a large G-force, which will result in an improved separation.

How can we maintain the drilling mud decanter centrifuge to keep its high capacity and serve oilfield solids control system better? The following will give you the answers.
1. Minimize the need for gears or belts to drive the centrifuge.
2. Control and maintain speed during the decanting process.
3. Develop high torque at very low speeds.
4. Two motor applications, one for the bowl and one for the scroll.
5. The bowl has a very high-reflected inertia.
6. The scroll is usually in continuous regeneration, as it runs at a slower speed than the bowl and is pulled along.
7. Torque limiting on the scroll is very important.
8. Some configurations require zero-speed operation of the scroll ( differential gearbox ).
9. Dynamic braking or regenerative modules may be required if the bowl is NOT driven by a drive.
